Antonia Lofaso's food is an invitation to explore the depths of her cooking. The curiosity in her grew after she moved from her home in the Long Island suburbs to explore the diverse culture of Los Angeles. In 2011, Lofaso partnered with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to open Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. Lofaso was able to find a place in Black Market as well as the alliances she created. Lofaso could achieve the creativity she craved thanks to her partnership. Black Market is not constrained to a specific direction and that is the intention. This course would begin by serving dill-flavored chips on potato Shishito peppers, then follow up with Korean wings. Antonia's vibrant flavors are the base of these bold combinations. Lofaso in her entire professional career, has evaluated her success by how well she understands her audience. She also stays authentic to her personality. The Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars emphasized her ability to express herself outside the cooking environment. Since then she's continued to pursue her career in front of cameras with judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge as well as regular appearances on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso worked with Penguin for the release of The Busy Mom's Cookbook - 100 Recipes For quick Delicious home-cooked Meals in the year 2012. This cookbook also tells about the struggles she faced while raising Xea and studying at her school, the French Culinary Institute.
