Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is a Romanian actor. Her debut on screen was through Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film Sex Traffic and was the recipient of the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. French, German English fluently. Her father is a theatre professor at one of the best Romanian drama schools. The Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. An actress of Romanian origin, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the screen through the Canadian-British TV drama Sex Traffic for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. Apart from her stellar performance in her debut movie The actress will remember her part on her role in the Romanian movie "4 months 3 weeks and 2 days" that won her numerous prizes, including her the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. She starred in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 luni 3 saptamani e 2 days" (4 3 Weeks, 4 Months and 2 Days) which earned her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. It also received two awards in addition, the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her professional career. In 2008, she played Yasim Anwar in BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca appeared in The Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically well-known Five Minutes of Heaven. She was Irma in Fury 2014 in which she portrayed the role of a German named aunt to Emma.
