
Alexandra Rose Raisman (born May 25 in 1994) is a retired American artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian. She served as captain of the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics teams. She was awarded a gold team medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans to have back-to-back gold medals in this competition. Raisman won silver medals for the individual all-around, and floor exercise. Raisman received silver medals for the all-around for the individual and also for the floor exercise. She is also a two-time national champion on floor exercise (2012 2012, 2015), the 2012 champion of the national team on the balance beam, and five times medalist in the all-around at the national championships (silver in 2016, bronze in 2011 and 2015). In 2013, she was admitted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
